While France is one of the most expensive places in the world to live, the cost of working in France is considerably lower than it is elsewhere. Several programs and organizations have organized short-term jobs for foreigners in France. The temporary work permit, known as the Autorisation Provisoire de Travail-APT, can be obtained without much difficulty. This permits you to work for a limited period of time, typically up to 12 weeks. Lucrez in Europa
Provide Temporary Workers
According to the Prism’Emploi association of French employment agencies, the number of temporary workers in France increased 14.0% in January 2022, the second consecutive month of growth. According to the association, this increase was largely due to accelerated economic activity, including the need for replacement employees following a variety of layoffs. Temporary employment grew in the sectors of commerce and services (up 24.2% in January), industry (up 16.7%), and transport. Among these sectors, construction experienced a slight -0.4% decrease.
France’s employment law includes some unique provisions, such as training. Workers in the private sector are entitled to credits for training that are provided by the employer. These credits are tied to the worker’s identity and travel with them when they leave the position. Employees can access these training accounts via their online training account. France has certain protocols in place when it comes to terminating an open-ended contract. First, the employer must have valid grounds to terminate the employment. Personal grounds are considered valid, but economic grounds are focused on the financial difficulties of the employee.
